One of our first software application (designed by the founder of this site back in 2003) was a MP3 player bar.  At its time, it was the smallest player around.  It introduced an unique interface that was straightforward and simple to use.  It provided you with the basic playback functionality.  What made the player unique, was the fact that it had a built-in browser base technology with clickable links to website.

Many years latter, (since MODVO was founded) we decided to create an interactive catalog to display images and audio content in an user friendly interface.   This latter inspired us to create the MODVO App, which allowed us to integrate a full functional audio player.

Our goal with The MODVO App was to provide an all-in-one media solution for audio and network users, made possible through a single application.

Through our passion in audio and loudspeaker design, we wanted to create something that was truly different and intuitive. So why not incorporate a complete audio player designed for digital and analog music.  We know there a lot of players out there that provide tons of features and settings, but doesn’t give you a simple and easy to used interface.

An unique User Interface

One thing that all our audio applications are known for, is that they are design for touch screen interfaces and interaction.  This mean large clickable buttons, with a simple and easy to use layout.

The Audio X player (fig 1.1) introduced a unique minimalist setup which features just a three button layout with a hidden remote.  The hidden remote allowed the use for more functions and access to a second player skin, and this is where that audio player excelled.

We believe that our future in software development will involve interactive applications and unique ways for users to interact with their audio content and our products.  Everyday we are taking great steps to create something that is truly one of kind and make it into a enjoyable experience available to audiophiles and users alike.  

Every year, the MODVO App advances and becomes more and more of a standard application that is not only used by us, but by individuals that enjoy music.  This is why we are dedicating ourselves to develop better audio applications that can truly interact with the user in a way that provide simple solutions to problems that conventional players have.  

We believe that a unique design and User Interface is the way to deliver a sound experience through a touch base interface.   We hope that our next audio applications demonstrate how users can interact with their music in an audio and visual environment, everything from online content to real time sound.

The MODVO App is Not just an app, but a interface Application with many possibilities!

The MODVO and the software technologies used to design our software has been around for over 20 years!  We know that this technology can’t last forever.  There will be a time and day when we will have move on to something else, because technology is steady changing.  This change always effect everyone's life and the way they live it.

Live Update 1.0 is now official.  For nearly 4 years the MODVO Network has been in work.  Doing that time, we have taken time to developed an interface that allow users to browse online content at their finger tips without switching from multiple applications.  This online content will feature streaming audio, portable software applications and covers.  This network will be geared toward audiophiles and the individuals who want to experience something different and unique in the audio world.

Live Update will be available on the MODVO App 2.7.0.1  2.7.0.1 will be the sweet spot for this application. It features all the audio players you could ever want (including network players) in a single application.  This is something you can’ not find on any other application out there.

The Next MODVO Software application will be a unique interface

“It just feels different”  This new interface is going to explore new possibilities and what our software application is capable of doing.  At first glance, this interface may resemble the MODVO App (which has greatly became the trademark of our software applications) but underneath its skin, lies a whole new system that is not only capable of delivering audio content, but also able to give users a new way experience it.

While this operation system don’t have a name yet, it surely opens a new way to experience audio content.  Its more than a software applications, its a touch base interface that allows users to explore the audio world and content that was not possible with conventional audio equipment.  

November 14, 2023  -  Our Next User Interface

To our surprise, we have taken a step back to go back where everything originated from in our world of software applications.  Before there was the MODVO App or Covers, there was the Audio Bar Player.  Designed and by the founder of MODVO years before this business was ever created, the idea of a mini interactive audio player was formed.

Its really hard to believe after all these years that the idea of a vintage mini audio player would appear again to bright light to our software applications and development.  With technology changing everyday and getting more and more advance while computer screen resolutions are get higher 4k and up, its no surprise that software is quickly becoming dated.  Software that is 5 years old is now considered dated and 10 years is obsolete.  And software like the Flash Player has quietly disappeared.

We know in order to get something right, you have to go back to where it all started! Its amazing how you can take old technology and apply to today’s platform to create something that truly unique that can perform well and blend in today's digital lifestyle.

This is exactly what we have done.  We have created a tiny software application that is simple to use and is very intuitive, and provides a buttery smooth interface that give you access to online audio content.

November 14, 2025  -  The MODVO App 3.0 is finally Here!

The long awaited MODVO App 3.0 is finally here.  With 10 years in the making, this was one of our biggest software applications to complete, and we did it. Since 2014, we have always had the desire to create something unique that is truly interactive with the user and their audio system. An interface that allows you to stream, connect to music, and control your audio hardware in a single application.  

Version 3.0 offer a vast Improvement over the perivous version.  For one, it offers a updated interface that is visually unique.  At the time of its first intriduction (back in 2015) the visuals would have been impressive, but 10 years later thhe app still has a striking appearance.  Users can feel comfortable nagvating through the menus and the app.  Everything is layed out in easy to used order.

One of the biggest improvement of the app is the sound test mode and the number of built-in audio players.  Has 3 different types of audio players, built righ into it!  Each player has its own unigue interface and not to mention the ability to stream more audio content.  The sound test mode has been greatly updated with the ability to play mulit audio tracks at any given time.  

In all, the MODVO App version 3.0 definitly demostration and shows how far the application has came in the last 10 years!  Its hard to believe this application is nearly 12 years old.
